About Cinerama 2025

Cinerama – the National level Short Film Festival at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus, aims to provide students a unique platform to showcase their creative talent and skill in short film making, besides facilitating interaction with professionals from film industry.

CINERAMA 2025 Objectives

To provide the budding filmmakers and students a platform to showcase their creative ideas to the world.
To provide an opportunity to interact with Industry experts and gain the necessary skill and exposure.

Rules For Participation
  • One team/Individual can submit any number of short films but they have to register separately for each film.
  • Entries will be accepted only with the copy of Valid ID Card.
  • Participants allowed per film – 2 members. For every additional Participant – Rs.400/- using the QR code on the poster.
  • Maximum duration of a short film is 40 minutes.
  • Spot entries are not entertained.
  • Only the Short films made after January 1st 2024 are Eligible for Qualification for Cinerama - 2025.
  • Language of the short film can be either in English or any Indian languages with English Subtitles Mandatory.
  • Story should be original. Films with the copyrighted content, obscene scenes, vulgarity and dialogues will be disqualified.
  • Participants should report at the reception desk on the day of the event and should carry their valid ID card without fail.
  • The Nominees qualified for the final round will be intimated well in advance and must ensure to be present for the Short Film Festival physically at the Amrita Mysuru Campus.
  • The Organisation reserves the right to change any rules of the event if the situation demands. Judges decision is final and binding.
  • Management is not responsible for any loss of personal belongings and valuable.
  • Registration Form can be completed only after the entire payment process is complete & the payment proof is attached.

In This category participants across the country can send in their Short film entries which should be not more than 40 minutes in duration. It can be any Indian language with English Subtitles as mandatory. Only the Short Films produced after January 1st 2024 are eligible.

60 Hrs Film Making

Amrita 60 Hour film Making Challenge
The 60 Hour Filmmaking Challenge welcomes participants nationwide within India. The filmmaking period for Cinerama’s 60 Hours Filmmaking Challenge is set to commence from: 26th March 7.30pm (IST) to 29th March 7.30am (IST)

Maximum Participants allowed: 5 members
